  • Snafu between seasons 7 and 8, season 8 holdups

I'm posting this here because I've already posted an actual review for Season 8, so there's no other way to comment. I woke up this morning to see a notification that a new episode was available. Then I see it's for an ep from Season 7 that has long been on iTunes, instead of last night's episode ("Devil of the Deep"). What's the holdup/problem this season? The first two were posted right on time, but availability has been going steadily downhill ever since. Season 7 was just okay, honestly. Season 6 was hard to top, but it seems to be more than that. RM is, no pun intended, slowly jumping the shark. Season 7 was the point at which I started to think I'd rather see Jeremy Wade move on to something new or else hang up his TV rods. The overly dramatic incidental music and some of the script-writing in particular made it feel like a show that was (is) trying very hard to stay "edgy". It really doesn't suit Wade's style and I fear for his credibility.
  • Great Season!

Ive been patiently waiting since the beginning of season one for an episode on Musky and this first episode "Canadian Horror" is exactly that. Im a huge Musky fishermen and I can see how when you have 2-3 weeks to shoot an episode it becomes very difficult to catch an elusive fish such as the Musky. This fish took Jeremy Wade to his breaking point and beyond. The fish of 10,000 casts pushes Jeremy to the brink. In my opinion its one of his best episodes because its one of the hardest fish to catch in a short time period and under the pressure of this show riding on catching this fish. Cant wait for all the episodes to be released and I will update this review when they are.
