Description

Wisdom of the Crowd is a drama about a visionary tech innovator who creates a cutting-edge crowdsourcing app to solve his daughter’s murder, and revolutionize crime-solving in the process. Inspired by the notion that a million minds are better than one, Silicon Valley entrepreneur Jeffrey Tanner develops "Sophe," an online platform for publicly shared information he’s certain will find his daughter’s killer. To assist him, Tanner recruits Det. Tommy Cavanaugh, the original cop who investigated the murder but was unceremoniously forced off the case. Working with them is Sara Morton, a brilliant engineer whose relationship with Tanner goes beyond the professional; Josh Novak, a talented, nerdy-cool head programmer; and Tariq Bakari, a tech genius and expert hacker with issues adhering to the rules. Concerned with Tanner’s obsession is his successful ex-wife, Congresswoman Alex Hale, with whom he shares an unbreakable bond over their shared grief. As Tanner taps into the "wisdom of the crowd," his unexpected success fuels his determination to solve even more cases than just the one that’s personal to him.

I don't know anyone who would follow a potential murderer like they do on here. It's crazy, no one would do that! Take a movie of someone who is a known killer while they look at you? Seriously? Interesting concept, just too unbelievable.

Initially skeptical regarding the premise of this show, I was delightfully surprised with the acting/execution of this show upon watching the free first episode via iTunes. Overall, it’s an engaging and enjoyable show- I used to live in SF and worked for a tech company, which may influence my opinion of this program. However, I enjoyed the freebie episode enough to purchase a season pass- hopefully there are no delays accessing new episodes, which I’ve experienced previously with CBS shows [Elementary, Scorpion and Blue Bloods].

Jeremy Piven does not disappoint. His character is a “much nicer ” Ari Gold (Entourage) however his energy is unparalleled. Phenomenal story line and excellent story telling in a technology style . This is my favorite new show. Very empowering and uplifting in a world with so much negative noise.

I'm disappointed even though the first episode was free. Usually I watch crime dramas on the edge of my seat, but this was boring.
  • Laughable

We have seen the wisdom of the crowd in America. It is mean spirited, driven by rumors and gossip, more inclined to follow some celebrity story, and believe the extreme than respond to a real problem and be helpful. Get this silly stuff off of the TV and give us something better than this trash.

The show aired yesterday and it's not showing up on here! I bought a Season Pass. People are having the same problem with Blue Bloods.
