I disagree with the supposed 24 fans who are putting this effort down. I think they're having Jack Bauer withdrawal...period. But the Carters are an interesting couple. Other than Tony there isn't much carry-over. But taken on it's own merits...rather than being compared with the original...it is a compelling and thought-provoking drama. Personally, I think it is as well written as the first series. It tells us that there are good people and bad people on both sides of the Jihadist question. It tells us that politics leads to sub-optimal decision-making. It tells us about courage and patriotism and self-sacrifice (moreso than the original, actually). It causes us to question ourselves and our own perspectives. So, hey, give the new kids on the block a chance. I, for one, hope this leads to a 2nd series...if for no other reason than to find out if the Carters can survive it.
  • Under development

So I am also a 24 devotee Having said that, am not surprised to see viewers complaining some. I agree with some others that not enough time was spent on character development .. This may be because of The the limited number of episodes planned? In any case- at this point there is some continuity so that suspense can build as it did in the original- I hope Fox will give this another season to see how many Legacy ,viewers will return and new ones join in. After all, Jack Bauer is a tough act to follow. If Fox lets it return , perhaps a teaser summer episode could give the new audience a chance to become hooked with a proper understanding of all that has taken place this year- yeas -- that's the ticket 😎
  • I love this.

I think should do go if they have secret scenes.
  • Not 24

24 was one of my most favorite tv shows of all time. When the re-boot was released I wanted to give it a fair shot... The new 24 is now my least favorite show; not enough time or desire to explain all of the issues, so please just avoid this show.
  • Poor

Despite its hardest efforts, the show doesn't make you hold your breath even once. Character building is horrible.

It's everything I remember about 24, which is great. I was a little worried they'd change the format a lot which would've been a bummer, but they didn't. It's the same, solid, exciting 24 it's always been, only now its Legacy! Keep 'em coming FOX -- I'm all in.
