Good if you can ignore the blatant racism

It started out fine, but after Ceaser wanted revenge...it went down hill. With a title called WAR for the Planet of the Apes I thought there would be a WAR where Ceaser finally saw what it would take to keep his people safe. Insead we got a slow paced movie that only answered about one thing...why can't Humans talk anymore. What we got was more of Ceaser not really doing much of anything and Humans killing Humans becase of Human things. The premise started out great but just turned into a slow paced pile where Apes don't do anything.

great movie. the temporary buy only option that iTunes occasionally employs almost always reuslts in me watching the movie on another platform and never buying or renting said movie from iTunes, but that's apple's f*cked up issue. great movie.

One of my favorite movies of all time . I even teared up a couple of times because the director was so good at imersing the viewer into the story . No better ending to the this movie series could have been done . et tu Caesar because he was betrayed by so many apes that he had nothing but love for . Fighting his own demons and trying to keep all of his followers alive . Even the ones that betrayed him . EPIC MOVIE !!! WELL DONE to every one involved .

Visually stunning— you’ll go ape ship over the graphics. For a forest full of digital monkeys some parts are actually quite moving and quite hilarious. Two opposable thumbs up, very entertaining.

Woody Harrelson acting with his usual flair, and the few moments of superb action, were not enough to save this movie. The movie tugs along slowly and painfully, for over two hours. The movie is filled with crony sentimentality, and its attempts at humor, thankfully infrequently, have largely failed. I, as a fan of the Plant of the Apes series, was disappointed.

First off, this film was incredible. Visuals, acting, music, directing and cinematography, were done beautifully. Matt Reeves gives the film a post-apocalyptic worn down tone, adding to Woody Harrolsons and Andy Serkis’ believable, pain filled performances. Steve Zhans ape provided much needed comic relief, while Nova’s speechless state was filled with emotion and understanding. Weta Digital’s groundbreaking CGI truly captured the emotion of the actors playing apes. There were funny parts, sweet parts, clever parts, definitely sad parts, and the movie as a whole played out beautifully. SPOILER ALERT But I will say this... For a majority of the film, the apes are just cooped up in the cages that the evil colonial put them in, and it felt a bit slow at times. I would have liked a little more time with Woody Harrolsons character to fully understand him especially when he caught the new version of the Simain Flu. But that’s all. Great Movie
