From legendary director Ridley Scott (Alien, Prometheus) comes a gripping tale of human strength and the will to survive. During a mission to Mars, American astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) is presumed dead and left behind. But Watney is still alive. Against all odds, he must find a way to contact Earth in the hope that scientists can devise a rescue plan to bring him home.

  • Fantastic

This is a gripping and original story. The characters are people I would respect and admire in real life. Loved it.
  • Fabulous

I’m a Science nerd so I enjoyed this movie & I’m not sure why others were saying the ending was bad... I thought it was fine 🤷‍♂️

A great film where science solves more problems than it causes. The soundtrack was awesome!! DISCO!!!!
  • Best serious Sci-Fi movie in a long time

    By DaLocoGuy
Get this movie, it’s by far the best SciFi movies in a long time. It’s one of the best movies about space travel. It makes far more sense than Interstellar which was too far fetched and kooky for my tastes.
  • Typical “Hollywood”

    By The Factoids
Started well ended poorly. No imagination as the movie progressed. Typical feel good ending in my opinion ruined it. Save your money do not purchase.

This was in my opinion the best space movie ever and looked so real.
  • Pretentious

No scientist would ever talk or act so pretentiously. And btw, you can’t grow crops in human poop, it’s too acidic for the crops.
  • How can I tell

How can I tell that this is really 4K now. There is nothing in the label that indicates that as of yet. I really liked the book and the movie. Where is the 4K icon?
